Daily I walk the kids to school down a wooded path. It’s one of my favorite parts of the day both for the company and the scenery. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to get home in fall as we stop to play among the fallen leaves. Credits: Autumn Sunrise by Misty Cato, Sweet Shoppe Designs
This is one of my favorite older pages. I can’t believe this was almost 4 years ago. Baby Girl is now on the verge of 6. A template based on this page can be found in the Contemporary Collage Set, retiring October 11th. Meanwhile, you can grab the set at 50% off.
Jamin has been playing soccer for 4 years and with the same group of boys for a couple of years. It is such a joy to watch the camaraderie and teamwork develop among these young boys. They all seem to really enjoy the game; win or lose (although winning is always more fun). Here is a page I did this week using photos from their first couple of games. Digital Scrapbooking Supplies: Words and Pictures Templates 6 and Kickin’ It both available at Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Earlier this summer, Mya said she wanted to earn “her own money.” We began to brainstorm things she loved and ways she could contribute. She likes to sing, so she proposed standing on the street singing with a hat for people to put money in. I suggested extra chores around the house. Eventually we decided on a cookie sale. This past week she went to work baking cookies; designing advertising flyers and finally setting up her little stand in our driveway. She even recruited her big brother to help make change. He was willing to help (although not thrilled about having his photo taken).
It was a success and she now has her own little stash of spending money. She learned a ton along the way, most of all that earning a buck takes a lot of hard work.
