I enjoyed a sunny Mother’s Day afternoon watching my best boy and his teammates on the football field.
Ever since the Seahawks brought home Seattle’s first Superbowl trophy, Jamin has been dreaming of playing football. While want we him to wait until he is older to start tackle, we did agree to a season of flag football. He got his start last weekend.
My baby girl turned 6 last month and suddenly seems so grown up. Fortunately she still has the uninhibited imagination of a young girl. These are photos from her birthday lunch, just Mya, me and her new friend, Dreamy (a birthday present from us). Most of Mya’s special stuffed friends have backstories and on this outing Mya tell me that Dreamy, a butterfly who thinks she’s a ladybug, can’t fly. Since she can’t fly, Mya has given her special lights to shine into the sky and bring people happiness.Credits: Scraplift of Having Fun by Jana Eubank, Hopeful digital scrapbooking kit by Misty Cato, Sweet Shoppe Designs
Happy New Year’s Eve. Time to look back a reflect on the past year before jumping into whatever 2014 holds. I put together this quick overview of our 2013 – lots of wonderful outings and experiences with family. Just looking at it makes me thankful for all the blessing the year brought.
Here is a look at each side a bit bigger.
At Thanksgiving, my mom arrives armed with her camera, tripod and props to take photos for our Christmas card. Our card turned out fabulous, but I also love the funny photos and ‘outtakes’ that result from the photo shoot.
One of the major shopping districts in our area hosts Snowflake Lane, which includes a drum line performance, winter characters on parade and ‘snow’ falling from the sky. It is one of my, Mya and Mamma’s favorite traditions and the boys all come along too. This year’s event was quite soggy.
