Birthday Scrapping Inspiration

Aaaaaah … scrapping birthday celebrations.  Birthdays rank up near the top of the list of events that belong in a scrap book and yet I find them intimidating to scrap.  Lots of photos – many of crowds of people and poor lighting.  Of course I want to include substantial journaling and somehow capture the personality of my birthday kiddo along with the vibe of the party.  Ahhh the pressure!

Here are a few eye-catching pages to jump start birthday party inspiration.

Four Years Old by jonee

It’s no secret I love large photos, so this page by jonee goes straight to my favorites.  I love the treatment on the main photo – perfect for an outdoor gathering.

Celebrating 5 by bderby

This one is so funky and fun.  The title work is great and the colors are festive, yet boyish and don’t overwhelm the photos.

Happy Birthday by Blagovesta

Loads fun little touches add festive flair to this page.

Ethan’s 5th Birthday Party by paperboutique

The cluster work on paperboutique’s page paired with oodles of balloons, confetti and other party-inspired element bring the party right into her page.

So after browsing the galleries looking at party pages.  I finally got down to the business of scrapping my son’s 6th birthday (which happened 6 weeks ago).

Thanks for the inspiration Misty! Birthdays are some of my least favorite events to scrap for the very reasons you mentioned. Now I feel like scrapping a birthday or two! :)
